Barry III The model for this doll was Jeanne Bécu, Comtesse du Barry (1743 –1793), the last official mistress of Louis XV of France. She favored a garland of fresh flowers, often roses, as embellishment of her dress, worn across the shoulder and bodice in many of her official portraits.
