Bartelt-Juel, Emily
Emily Bartelt is an artist, designer, and teacher from West Bend, Wisconsin. Growing up, she split time between Wisconsin, Virginia, and Sicily. She studied glass at Tidewater Community College in Portsmouth and is a Staff Instructor at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio in Norfolk. Bartelt also teaches educational and experiential courses from her own studio space. She is currently working on new designs that explore trains and boxcar lure. Bartelt’s work has won numerous awards, including the Visual Art Center Director’s Choice Award and her Containers of Prospect series was recently featured in The New Glass Review.
