Strother, Devin Troy

Devin Troy Strother, born in West Strovina, CA, received his BFA at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena in 2009, and received a residency at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, ME, in 2010. His first break came when 30 art blogs referred to his website in the fall of 2009. He had his first solo show at Richard Heller Gallery, Los Angeles, in June 2010. His first solo exhibition in New York was at Monya Rowe Gallery in 2011; followed by Richard Heller Gallery, Los Angeles in 2012; Marlborough Gallery, NY, in 2013; Bendixen Contemporary, Copenhagen, Denmark; and Ruttkowski;68, Cologne, Germany, among others. Strother lives and works in Los Angeles, CA and Brooklyn, N.Y. His works are in the permanent collections of: The Los Angeles County Museum of Art; The Santa Barbara Museum of Art; and the Studio Museum in Harlem.
