Barry After receiving a Fulbright Fellowship to the Czech Republic, sculptor Karen LaMonte was able to develop and realize her concept of casting life-size garments in glass, as if worn by a person. The casting facility in Železný Brod, which was developed by the Czech artists Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová, is now the only public access facility in the world capable of casting LaMonte’s largest glass sculptures.
